The user guide (text or PDF) does not match the software. Well, would you rather have better software or up-to-date instructions? :-)
This is the second release of StrawHelp. While it is functional and usable, there are numerous things that it does not do; or does differently. Please read the user guide PDF (available below) to see what the shortcomings are, and then read the list of changes (below) to see what I've fixed/added...

Missing DLL? Missing OCX?
If you experience problems using StrawHelp (missing DLL, missing OCX),
then you need to download and install the Various
Dependencies, 3,240K.

What's new?
This is what has changed since the last release:
- Manuals listing switches to 'small icon' format if there are more than 28 manuals.
RIGHT-click on it to toggle between big and small icon view.
- Left-aligned is now justified. Looks better.
- Standard font definitions are now 12pt (RISC OS specified 14pt).
This is because 14pt looked too big in Windows. Different metric perhaps?
- Supports background colours by RGB and WIMP colour, and also 'tiles' a background
texture if you select WIMP colour 1.
- Now supports simple effects like *bold* and /italics/.
By a simple effect, I mean just wrapping a word with slashes or asterisks, as opposed to
using the proper {*} sort of convention.
- Subpages are linked to by their referencing link. Also some "return to top" links
inserted.
- The button "Go to help index" now reads "Manuals
index".
- Supports included files (but only one at a time).
- Correctly copes with constructs like "
#f;Indent"; failing to do this was
the reason of numerous formatting oddities.
- Doesn't fail trying to load a manual where a directory definition is larger than 32K
(re. the "INetDrafts" manual).
- A "Go to index" button added, will return you to the manual's
opening page (but won't destroy your page history in doing so).
