Requirements
- A machine comfortably running a useful version of Windows, with Windows 95 as a
base specification.
Sorry, this software is not compatible with 16 bit versions of Windows.
- You will probably want some StrongHelp files. It is assumed that if you
are downloading this software, you'll have some. :-)
Give them the extension ".3d6" (the RISC OS filetype number, automatic if you
are using !Samba over a network) or ".shf" - it doesn't matter
which you use - and drop the files into the Manuals directory
within StrawHelp. This is usually:
C:\Program Files\HeyRick\StrawHelp\Manuals
Then run StrawHelp and it will find your manuals...
You will find lots of manuals on the StrongHelp site:
There you will find StrongHelp (for RISC OS), a selection of manuals (which can
be used with my StrawHelp too!), and also I believe the source code... in ARM
assembler!
- You may require my various dependencies pack. This is because I supply my software
without the runtime libraries. The reason for this is that pretty much all of my
Windows software uses the same three megabytes of libraries. Install it once, you
are done! No point supplying the same thing over and over again with every update of
every program.
If you experience problems when starting strawhelp which refer to a missing
DLL or missing OCX, then you need to download and install the
Various Dependencies, 3,240K.
