For the 3 burner Weber they sit right in perfect. For the 4 burner grills they sit on top. Just switch out the grates depending on what I’m cooking. Give steaks a nice diamond pattern.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n Jt122561 from\n Searing grate\n I am puzzled! Grate has what appear to be notches that should fit in between existing grates (swap out based on need) this grate does not fit like that. Did I get the incorrect one? The model states it is for the geniusII ...I like flat seamless surfaces..\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 1 out of\n 5\n by\n Phernz from\n Poor man's way to do it\n I just took one of my cooking grates and laid it directly on top of the flavorizer bars. So I've got two levels of grates now. When doing steaks or burgers I put the meat on the lower grate, right over the flavorizer bar, and I keep the lid open. It gets a nice sear (maybe not professional but who cares) and the center is still medium rare.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 5 out of\n 5\n by\n Love to cook from\n Great Engineering design\n I am referbishing My Genius grill and replacing many parts including the cooking box cover etcetra!\r\nHaving an engineering background I want to comment on how well the Genesis Gold barbecue is engineered from an assembly point of view. A minimal number of screws screw into plastic inserts that facilitate easy disassembly. Assembly parts fit snugly and are sturdy when assembled. Bravo to the \r\ndesigning engineers.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n Calvo from\n Bad fit and poor sear\n In theory this is a great idea but when placed on a Genesis II 435 it will not fit well, it overlaps with the other griddle and it seems higher. Also, yjis item does not retain well heat, searing marks might be ok but what really matter is not the looks but food well cooked, that means )for the real steak lovers), a great crunchy sear and a medium rare in the inside. This does not happen, Im not sure why but high heat is difficult to achieve.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n JClutch from\n Sear Grate\n Pros: Love this grate. Puts the nicest sear marks on all of your food without having to do the quarter turn. \r\nCons: I have a Genesis II 4 burner grill and I was really disappointed to learn that the grate overlaps the existing grate. For the money I have into the grill and the cost of the sear grate I just really feel it should fit right into place. I would have bought two if it did.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n PabloGrande54 from\n Nice sear marks...\n This sear grate works OK and it's a 'nice-to-have' addition to my other Weber accessories. But, in reality, I can just as easily get criss-cross sear marks by rotating meats 60-90 degrees on the stainless steel grates I already have.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n Dimitri from\n Excellent product........ BUT\n The Sear grate works very well, BUT it would have been nice to know that the Grate is larger than the original grate. I purchased 3 of them figuring I would have all new grates, BUT only 2 of them fit and that leaves the last original grate over lapping the new ones. Weber, next time please make replacements/upgrades fit properly or let buyers know that this is a problem.\n
