THOUGHTS

(My so-called life)

I believe I can fly...

I left this image here with no text to see what sort of comments it might get. Well, several people noticed and asked what it represented...

It represents fantasy - being defined as the opposite of reality. The camera is looking at a 'floating' soft-drink can. The can is hovering in front of the camera lens.
The weird angle is partly for effect, and partly to show the can levitating (ie, no hidden platform).

How was it done? Well, magic. The more astute might be thinking about string and editing the image. Or maybe I stood off-scene and tossed the can in front of the lens.
Wrong.
On both counts.
It was magic.

Magic, an integral part of fantasy, is an important thing. Magic surfaces in those little instances like:

You can think whatever you want to think regarding this, but my advice is to believe in magic. Not the storybook stuff with fairies and sorcerers, but the type that is real. The type that gives you emotions and happiness.

I believe I can fly,
I believe I can touch the sky,
Think about it every night night and day,
Just spread my wings and fly away...

[R.Kelley]

Because...
...everybody needs a little magic in their lives.

Just ask a child.
