THOUGHTS

(My so-called life)

The first exeat...

21st June 1997

Like, where does time go?
Here I am fiddling with my WWW pages. Release 26 or something. Yesterday Molly called reminding me I was three months behind in subscription payments...
I've been here three months?
Sure as heck doesn't feel like it.

But yes. It is longest day. Sky lightens around 03:30h, the first bird chirps at around 04:10h and it gets dark really quite late - usually when I'm settled down and watching Sky...

So I sit here and sip my "Spice Imperial" tea. Not a lot is going through my head (nothing unusual) when suddenly...
...Mmmmm, bop! M-m-mmmm bop...

That Hanson song is one of those really horrible songs that you don't really know the words to and you can't seem to shake it either. It seems the charts have songs like that every so often; the last one I can remember had something to do with zigazig-ha's in it.

While we're on the subject of music, I might as well mention one of my favourite songs. Don't know who it is by, I only ever hear it on the radio:

Don't you give me no Buick
Son, you must take my word
If there's a god up in heaven, he's got a silver Thunderbird
You can keep your El Dorados
Your foreign car's absurd
Me, I wanna go down
in a silver Thunderbird
Me, I wanna go down
in a silver Thunderbird
[Silver Thunderbird; Marc Cohn]
:-)
