Family
Now that you the read the self-obsessed crap about myself, time to turn attention to the rest of
my family.
My family
- Mother - Jenny - a really nice person if you ask me. She's into this aromatherapy stuff
and, well, it smells nice (except cade oil).
Mom is intelligent and resourceful and knows several European languages (French,
Spanish...).
Her job is the same as mine - care assistant.

- Father - in words of one syllable...
Stiff, mort, dead, gone, late, ther mo sta tic al ee cha llen jed.
Deceased, in other words. Just words.
- Uncle - Rick (mom's older brother) - A PHD in some really deep mathematical type of
thing.
Currently an associate professor in the Dept. of Maths and Computing at Hamilton College,
NY. He's on the Internet (link below).
Rick has co-written several books (along with S.Hirthfield). I can recommend "The
Analytical Engine" for a good explanation of computer concepts and history. I'm not
the only one to recommend it either... It has won the EDUCOM/NCRIPTAL award for best
curricular innovation (Sciences, 1990) and the Project Kaliedoscope award 1995.
He has written several books, some of which are used as textbooks worldwide.

PS: Yes, I am named after him...
- Aunt - Barbara - my uncle's wife (like, dah!). I'm not sure exactly what she does. It's
something to do with wool and weaving. And judging by the nice purpley-dark-blue scarf I
received for Christmas '95, she is good at it!
- Cousin - Natty - Rick/Barb's son (in case you hadn't guessed). Sadly I don't know that
much about him, except he is way tall. <grin>
- Also in America I have an assortment of relatives... Chuck, Judy, Carl and more. It's been
longer than I can remember since I've been to the US so I do not know anything much about
them.
If you're reading guys - email me!
- And on my fathers side. I don't know anything about the family. I've never met any of them
(they probably met me when I was a cute baby, but that doesn't count). Ah well...
