Hi!
My name is Stephanie Jane Louise Decker Murray, and its such a mouthful that
I'm normally known as "mom" (wonder what I'd be called if I wasn't
a mom?). I drive a twelve year old MG Metro called "Fifi",
of whom I am very fond and even though she's falling apart (a bit like me), I
have promised her to keep her in the manner in which she is accustomed (never washed, never serviced, never garaged!) until she no longer has any hope of
passing her M.O.T.
I'm 49 years old, born in March 1948 in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. All my family came from either Maryland or Pennsylvania, we were not known to travel anywhere, so I was regarded as a throwback to ancient European ancestors when I emigrated to England in 1971.
Rick, my son, was born in December 1973 and won't let anyone know quite what country, it's a closely guarded secret!
My original profession was as a bookkeeper for a mortgage banker, then I went into geriatric nursing. I always had an interest in herbs as well as medicine, and I'm now almost qualified as a professional aromatherapist (I.S.P.A., see the aromatherapy page).
I also farm 4.5 acres of land in the Loire Valley in western France and hope to eventually grow (and maybe distil) organic herbs. I speak English, Castillian Spanish, some French and a little German and Greek; and I still like to travel (mostly to European destinations).
To be honest, I'm a real tyro at using computers; but Rick is so involved in it that it would be difficult for me not to be part of it.
