However, there is a MASSIVE problem with the 2011 final. My PVR is still running, after I told it to stop. I'm going to let it carry on, it might fill the SD card, finalise the file, and give up recording.
Alternatively, it might have crashed, in which case it isn't actually doing anything, and might not have been all along.
Sadly, the MP4 file format is a load of crap and needs a long load of data appended to the end of the file, if we're to stand any hope in hell of being able to get anything to play. However, as this information won't be present if the file is not correctly finalised, it will be a lot of useless data. There are tools that claim to be able to fix this. I tried many with my older PVR - half did nothing, the other half didn't even understand it was a video file. Useful.
Anyway... I'm going to watch some animé and calm down, but if the recording has been lost (let's face it, this is 90% likely) and I can't get an AVI or DVD of the broadcast from somebody, the best I can do is give my comments on whatever I can find on YouTube. :-(
