The Eurovision Song Contest 2009

EBU-UER title

The Eurovision Song Contest 2009
(from Moscow / МОСКВА (?), Russia / РОССИЯ).

This is all a very rough version. The semi-finals have pictures and most markup. The final is just the plaintext version of my review as written live.
The pictures are all kinda rough.
You will notice that several odd punctuation appears, like "Mikulc\/i/k". These are notes to myself to mean "mikul, c-with-upside-down-circumflex, i-with-acute-accent, k".

Because of my job and the lack of time, I am putting my reviews up in an unfinished state. They will be tidied, cross-links added, some of the writeup enhanced, typos fixed, language information added, etc etc. But they might take me weeks. If you don't mind rough'n'ready, you can read it all now. ☺

This year, I have set my PVR to record the semi-finals on timed. I will then try to watch and digest them either later in the night or sometime the following day. Notes will be made which will be turned into the review text. Pictures will come from the MPEG4 recording.
As to when exactly I get to paste it all together to be the review... I cannot say. Unlike previous years, I now have a job!
I will try to do it asap, but this is not helped (for you, but helped for me) by yet another public holiday in May in France (in which my internet access won't be available).

Remember - what makes my reviews special and different is exactly because I do not have internet access. These opinions are completely original and not rehashings of what somebody else said someplace else. Furthermore, the reviews themselves may read a bit oddly. It is not a "comparative" review, but rather one written either live or as-live so if Estonia is the second song, I only have the first to compare it against. No knowledge or mention is made of the winner(s) until such time in the review as the winner(s) are revealed. If you were not able to watch the contest live, I hope this method of writing aids in your enjoyment of the contest. You get to see it as if through my eyes (aie! God help you... ☺).
