Frobnicate - the missing ones

The Frobnicate collection is now complete and available to be read in the PDF viewer of your choice!

Following a mention on the ROOL forums, I decided to dig up the remaining issues of Frobnicate (12b to 19) and convert them to PDF.
In order to make things work better, most of the images have been converted to JPEG (as the PostScript driver does insane things with many sprites). This was pretty simple given RISC OS' superior and correct implementation of drag'n'drop. I could 'save' a picture directly from the Ovation document to ChangeFSI (for conversion to JPEG), and then 'save' it from the ChangeFSI preview right back into the document. A few twiddles where necessary, and job done.

No alteration has been made to the text of the issues. Given that this stuff is twenty years old, don't expect email addresses or URLs to be valid. And as for my Fidonet address, that was great fun but it was a great long time ago...
As is usual, there's a lot of rubbish that could have been omitted, a bunch of outdated things, and so on. But it is what it was. Don't judge it too harshly, okay? ;-)

Where to find them all

frobextras.zip

Sources/software/info to accompany issues 14, 15, 16, 18, and 19.

There you go. 162 pages to complete the collection. If you're lucky you might get that lot printed using one regular sized overpriced tri-colour ink cartridge...

Great news! I think I'll try reading it on my e-book reader, I wonder how it will look.

Small typo on https://www.heyrick.co.uk/frobnicate/m3.html .
I think "issue 20" should be "issue 22".

Great! I think this is the best news since issue 31.

Hi, Didn't RISC OS have OLE, where you held down control, double clicked an image, it loads into relevant editor, then F3, save automatically reloads the image into the original document. Invented by Computer Concepts.
Meanwhile back at Windows, where the term OLE originated, it provided a mental hill which I never reached the top of, and so never saw the paradise on the other side. Then again it could be Olé...
